Troy Surgery Blow to Exeter City Finances

Former Exeter City defender, Troy Archibald-Henville, is off to Italy for an operation on his knee. 24 year old Troy has so far played 8 games for Swindon Town since his £200k transfer. He transfer fee was set by tribunal (see here). Once Troy had played 15 games, Exeter City would receive £20,000. Potentially the Grecians could have received £40,000 by the end of the season if he’d played more games.

Swindon Town have an agreement with the Villa Stuart facility outside Rome, which means they get free treatment, as Swindon Town’s manager donated his image rights to them.

While the finances of the Club  are not fully known, there is some concern that the club have budgeted for this appearances income.
