Kyle Taylor suffers injury setback

Having been optimistic back in May about Kyle Taylor featuring in pre-season (see here), it’s now been reported that he has suffered a separate injury, an injury to his ankle suffered in pre-season training.

It had been hoped that he would play ten minutes during Tuesday’s win at Mousehole, but damaged his ankle in Monday’s training session.

Gary Caldwell has given an update on Kyle:

It is so disappointing because he has been outstanding in pre-season. He has done everything we have asked of him and done extra gym sessions to get his knee in a good place – he was looking really good.

Late in the session on Monday he went over on his ankle. We expect this to be a 3-4 week injury, and if anyone knows how to come back from something like this it is him given his last 18 months. Hopefully he will be back very soon.
