Football League 2 Player and Manager of the Month Nominations for October

The Football League have announced the nominations for manager of the month and player of the month for October. The winners will be announced live on Sky Sports on Friday morning.

Manager of the month Nominations

James Beattie (Accrington Stanley). After an awful start to the season Beattie and his players have turned things round in October, which includes their first wins of the season – – against Bristol Rovers and Morecambe.

Wayne Burnett (Dagenham and Redbridge). A good month for the Daggers which included 3 windsand a draw to lift them high in the table. A good effort by manager Burnett in turning their fortunes around.

Colin Cooper (Hartlepool United). 4 wins from 5 match including a stunning 3-0 victory at Exeter has swept away all the negativity surrounding their poor start after relegation.

Gary Rowett (Burton Albion). No play-off semi-final defeat hangover for Albion. 3 wins on the road including a 1-0 win over Exeter meant 12 points won out of a possible 15.

Player of the month nominations

Arron Davies (Exeter City). A goal against Devon rivals Plymouth Argyle will always wins the hearts of Exeter City fans. But his goal away at Scunthorpe is what has made him noticeable.

Luke James (Hartlepool United). He maybe only 18, but has plenty of confidence. Scored against Exeter with a deft lob.

Rhys Murphy (Dagenham and Redbridge). Scoring 4 goals in 4 October games has brought thgis player to attention

Bondz N’Gala (Portsmouth). This defender is big in defence and big in attack. 2 headed goals in the month.
