Aldershot Town to Exit Administration?

Aldershot Town have announced, on Monday 15th July, that the new consortium (headed by Shahid Azeem),  have come to an agreement in View from the New Stand at Aldershotprinciple whereby both parties will enter into a Conditional sale and purchase agreement with a view to the consortium taking Aldershot Town out of Administration and ensuring that Aldershot’s long term future, specifically playing Conference National league football next season.

The Football Conference now need to agree to the proposals, and an announcement is due soon. It’s expected that this should happen, and the Shots will start next season on -10 points. The Manager Andy Scott will then be able to sign new players ahead of the new season. A friendly takes place on Saturday 20th July against Stuart Fleetwood’s Eastleigh that will feature a number of triallists.

There has been some incredible support and sacrifices by Aldershot fans to help the club raise over £50k to meet the requirements of the footballing creditors rule.  Think Positive Dressing room message Aldershot Town

The Administrators for Aldershot Town, Quantuma, have issued the following statement:-

Further to the announcement on 16 July, the Joint Administrators and the Consortium (buyers of the Club), headed by Shahid Azeem, are delighted to announce that the agreement, whereby both parties would enter into a sale and purchase agreement to take the club out of administration, has now been signed.

It is important to remind individuals that the agreement remains conditional as the transaction still needs to be formally ratified by the Board of the Football Conference. We aim to be in a position to announce that this has happened by the end of this week or early next week.
