Getting there.

– Mileage: 282 miles each way, fuel costs in the region of £107. Likely travel time 4 hours 45 minutes each way. Involved 156 miles on the M5, then 101 miles on the M6. Limited parking is available at the ground, otherwise park in the streets nearby.

– if travelling by train you can disembark from Blackpool North. This is some 7½ miles from the ground. So, surely it has to be a tram to the ground? Walked down towards the seafront and catch a Fleetwood bound tram memorial_stand_highburygetting off at Stanley Road. Taxi is likely to be £18 from the station.
– Train from Exeter St Davids. 2 singles at £49.00, total £98.00. Departing Exeter St Davids at 06.23 arriving in Blackpool North at 11.50 via Birmingham New Street and Preston. Returning at 17.37 (I don’t know how feasible that is) arriving home at 22.43 via via Birmingham New Street and Preston.
