– What is the stadium like: The new stand, the impressive Parkside stand dominates the ground, the rest of the ground betrays its non league origins (and all the better for it!), including the old stand in behind the Highbury Stand.
– POTG or ticket entry. Entry by ticket. Ticket office by the Percy Ronson Stand, access from the junction of Hatfield Avenue and Highbury Avenue. Paul Ronson Stand (terracing) – Adults – £15.00, Seniors – £10.00, U16s – £7.00, U5s – Free.Parkside Stand (Seated) – Adults – £17.00, Seniors – £12.00, U16s – £9.00, U5s – Free. Discount for purchasing in advance.

– Bar inside the ground? Yes, plus TV screens
– what is the away end like? Terracing under cover, seating in a couple of blocks within the Parkside stand. Will be a new ground for most Exeter City fans.
– arrangements for disabled supporters. 4 spaces pitchside in the Highbury Stand shared with home supporters. Check for information here.

Getting there.

– Sat Nav post code: FY7 6SF. Directions from St James Park to Highbury Stadium here.
– Mileage: 282 miles each way, fuel costs in the region of £107. Likely travel time 4 hours 45 minutes each way. Involved 156 miles on the M5, then 101 miles on the M6. Limited parking is available at the ground, otherwise park in the streets nearby.

– if travelling by train you can disembark from Blackpool North. This is some 7½ miles from the ground. So, surely it has to be a tram to the ground? Walked down towards the seafront and catch a Fleetwood bound tram getting off at Stanley Road. Taxi is likely to be £18 from the station.
– Train from Exeter St Davids. 2 singles at £49.00, total £98.00. Departing Exeter St Davids at 06.23 arriving in Blackpool North at 11.50 via Birmingham New Street and Preston. Returning at 17.37 (I don’t know how feasible that is) arriving home at 22.43 via via Birmingham New Street and Preston.
