Richard Duffy moves on to join Port Vale

Port Vale have this morning announced the signing of Richard Duffy, ending speculation regarding the future of the previously out-of-contact City defender.

Duffy, 26, joined the Grecians on trial before penning a permanent deal in 2009.  Richard, who has 13 international caps to his name for Wales scored his first goal for City against Gillingham in December 2009 and has found the net twice since.

News of Duffy’s departure follows a raft of City signings – including Amankwaah and Baldwin for the back – so fans need not be too disappointed with the move.  We wish Richard the best of luck at Port Vale.
