Why don't we have a proper constitution? We can't do that if people want to keep the royal family.
Well the Constitution in Yankeeland is proper, resulting in AK47 all over the bleddy place.

What about if our Royal family were more ceremonial like Japan's?
They pretty much are, aren't they?

To be fair Jason even though I'm not a royalist think we both agree a president for the UK is not a good idea. What about if our Royal family were more ceremonial like Japan's?
They are ceremonial more or less.

Bit confused here, If they are ceremonial why does she Open Parliament, Reads out Government wish list and a PM has to go to her to dissolve Parliament?

I have softened as i've got older and now i don't really care .
I believe this is an affliction from which many who get older suffer. At which point, socks become an altogether more significant consideration.

Dissolving Parliament doesn't seem ceremonial if as it seems the PM has to go to the Queen unless it's just kept up for tradition
