I should like advice on appropriate drinks to celebrate Diwali. I have read that cumin flavoured water is traditional but it sounds rather dubious.

Actually Al it is of course the festival of lites, so Millerlite or some such cheap larger lol would be fine.

Cobra or Kingfisher.

Cumin water sounds decidedly unpalatable, only good for extinguishing your flaming swastikas at the end of the festival.

I have read that alcoholic beverages are "not traditional" but defer to your greater knowledge of these matters.
