If Harris was our player, so would he. It would do him the world of good to be playing at a lower level than L1.When Ollie Watkins was 19 he was playing for Weston Super Mare.

There are two U21 Fulham players older than Luke Harris who are currently on loan with non league Walton and Hersham. It’s Harris’s huge reputation from his performances in the U21s and small cameos with the first team that has got him hos first senior loan with Exeter without playing on loan in league 2If Harris was our player, so would he. And we all know the standard of U21 football in comparison to men's football. As I've said previously, the U21 teams get routinely hammered by the likes of Accrington in the EFL Trophy. There are two U21 Fulham players older than Luke Harris who are currently on loan with non league Walton and Hersham. What would have been Luke’s pathway had he been in Exeters academy? 1) he wouldn’t be earning £18,000 a week until 2026 with an option for a further year 2) he would not be on loan to a professional club nor probably not playing week in week out for the first team - he would be on loan to a semi professional non league club no doubt. And we all know the standard of U21 football in comparison to men's football. I think he'd be in our team if he came through our academy. The likes of Grimes was in our side at that age. Ampadu much younger before he left (but was then getting games at Chelsea at 18). Chrisene wouldve been playing at 18. Sonny is 19, but was in our squad at 18. Jake Richards is 16 and has had action already. Etc. They get in the first team once they can make an impact. That's obviously a higher bar at a prem club.
The lads in category 1 academies just get far betters breaks than those in category 3 such as Exeter and Swindon. AFC Bournemouth their young professionals are being sent on loan to the likes of Poole Town or Wimborne Town and some of these lads are 19/20 years old
