As a mark of respect, should the Number 9 shirt be retired for good?
After all, Adam and Tony are true City legends in every sense of the word.

Your views.

No. Stanno was part of the squad when he passed away and the club made the right decision to retire it for 9 seasons. After that someone else should be given he chance to share legendary no.9 status with these two amongst others.

Not a chance, it would belittle the stanno tribute if we double retire it.

Its a no from me as well. The Stanno retirement is totally understandable, but Tony wouldnt have wanted the shirt he represented so well by becoming our record goalscorer totally done away with.

I think 9 seasons is long enough, new legends will come along in time, for us to remember and reminise over.

This is why I asked for views, and I agree with what you are saying. My heart is saying yes and my head is saying no....May be a knee jerk reaction on my behalf, but in my defence, Tony Kellow (and Alan Beer) were my boyhood hero's.

I think shirt retirements are totally sentimental and the answer should always be no. Life goes on even after the worst bereavements.
