I wouldn't normally be unduely bothered by the passing of an Australian cricketer but Warney was something different. You couldn't be anything but amazed by his ability and love his character.

So strange to hear about the deaths of two Aussie legends. In fact I assumed the announcer had got the name wrong when giving Shane Warne as the cricketer that died. He may have died young , but bet he had a better time the rest of us!

And in the same week that we hear Sonny Ramadhin has died as well...

A great spin bowler, maybe the best ever
Richie Benaud regarded him as the best leg-spin bowler of all time.
