Awww, bless you Uncle Pate.

Only you could fall into a vat of victorious 4-1 winning titties and still emerge sucking his thumb.

(PS: I have it on good authority that the Pymster was on halvesies for a share of RHK's latest successful punt, hence the goal!!!)

You're kidding surely? It was awful!
You should have seen it last week...

City played some good football on it and I didn't see any really bad bounces or the ball sticking.

Backing Gary Caldwell, thanks Matt and good luck.

It is probably the worst in the league, but still better than a lot of pitches used to be. Glad to see we won well so no need for anyone to try and blame the surface, although if they had a 3G maybe we would have won ten nil ;)

Enjoyed our goals although their defending didn't look good. Credit to mcalinden for two good assists although Watkins run for the first was fabulous. Think it was Riley Lowe getting in the box to set up the third and a mention for Simpson getting a regulation assist for the last one. Neither defenders or keeper will be happy with the conceded goal, but thankfully we managed to avoid letting them get anymore so it was a minor annoyance and Rog h k is probably glad.

A great run of 14 points from 18. We are climbing nicely but probably need to double the run to reach 7th and maybe more to maintain it. Should give us confidence and if we can avoid being brought back to earth with a bump we can maybe keep the season alive. We shouldn't forget that Newport are bottom so a win was what we needed but still good to get it, and without using or being able to use a number of players.

I see that Brown and JMT are getting the blame for "their soft goal". John seriously, you dont think Pym is in any way culpable for standing watching a header from that distance go in?
Your obsession with Pym is unhealthy. City win 4 -1 away and all you focus on is the goal conceded by Pym. You are becoming a joke

Wasn't there, but the goal conceded at 3-0 on highlights was obviously poor, but to obsess on that and not a good result, and forget about our really good defensive record recently is, well, perverse.

Theres no "obsession" about it. I see our goalkeeper let in a very saveable header, and I comment on it. He has got to be more alert/decisive about what to do next with a header like that coming in. Kevin Miller specialised in that 'statuesue' thing, and he generally had it weighed up. Pym is nowhere near Millers class that he can stand and watch a saveable header. Other defenders might have been involved in that lash-up but Pym should still have done better.

Anyone else think that was sus? There are supposed to be 580 seats in the Bisley stand, they were fill which is why they opened up the open seats where there looked to be 100 or so. That and the 'cash only' sales makes you wonder
I did hospitality there a few weeks back and found it strange that they wanted to be paid in cash.

The facts are, we are on unbeaten run of six matches - 4 wins and 2 draws - goals, For 10 Against 2. Given that both draws were 0-0
neither goal conceded cost the team any points. During this period we have thus taken 14 out of 18 possible points and risen from 23rd to 11th in the table.

Can't you just enjoy it, simply rejoice and be thankful for once in your miserable life. Football is a team game, and the defenders and keeper have really done well over the last six games and deserve enormous credit, and Christy least of all deserves to have your vile obsessive criticism flung at him !

That was quite an acceptable response, then you blow it with the very last paragraph. "Christy least of all deserves to have your vile obsessive criticism flung at him"? Boy you added some verbage to give the point emphasis there didnt you? All I would add, because I'm not wasting new years eve on you, is that my analysis of the goal conceived is spot on. 'Christy' will know that, no matter what you say. Whether he gives a s**t is anybodys guess.
