Interview yesterday was around 17:30 and he said 24 hours to decide so decision imminent
He was given 24 hours, doesn’t mean he has to take it. If he was desperate to join Rotherham he already would have done. He’s obviously considering it carefully.

Agree. He clearly wants to leave and we clearly can’t match his ambition.

thanks Taylor but onwards and upwards. We have a good squad that any manager can stay on league one with.

MT should jump ship considering our fixtures over the next few months

I've never doubted Matt will leave one day.......He's a great manager with a bright future, when he does he will leave with grateful thanks and best wishes from us all I'm sure.
I'm not convinced Rotherham is the right step up though.................

PS. I also think his candid answer to a question on BBC radio Devon last night lilkely took the club hierachy by surprise somewhat....preferring as I am sure they would of to announcing things the way they would of liked..........

We'll see I guess.

Would the new manager be a marquee signing though? 🤣

Come on, Alphington & Countess Wear CC.

Offer him the team captaincy for next summer.

That should be enough.
I'll propose It at the AGM ;)

In the past the Club have sifted through the applicants and then a panel convened to conduct the interviews and make their recommendation to the Club Board. The panel has contained Club Board members and a Trust Representative. The manager is obviously a Club appointment and naturally the final ratification lies with them.
Thanks

Tough call for Matt but hope he stays. Personally expected him to leave for a bigger club than Rotherham given that he’ll be sacrificing job security with us, but he does deserve a chance to manage at a higher level.

Fully expected MT to leave at the end of this season but not this early. That said, he deserves his chance to manage at a higher level and I am thankful for his services to the club, he's been superb.

Regarding his replacement, I have absolutely no idea who I'd turn to. The thought of Wayne Carlisle taking over doesn't particularly inspire me. The Artel shout earlier from Harris is probably my favourite. We just need to trust the process and get behind whoever takes over (unless it ends up being Tiswas).
