Maybe if we hadnt signed him tho, we could have spent the 1931 wages, along with some, more or non of the clubs wage bill on a better player. Centre half maybe? A left back?

He does the same job as any number of our "forwards" and games hes played, one of the others could have owing to the "rotation" policy we have to put up with

Well presumably Tis thought he was worth a punt - which is the reason for the fund - and it was a better use of the fund than on a left back or centre half, presuming also that such players were available for the money that was available.

Good player Grant, not given the regular start in the wide position which we are well stocked with players to fill, Nicholls, Wheeler, Holmes, personally I would put him behind Watkins in the pecking order but only because Jay is "one of our own". Grant has scored some important goals for us this season.

Backing Gary Caldwell, thanks Matt and good luck.
Unfortunately for Joel he doesn't appear to have been picked for the squad for the copa America in June. The final list is listed on the site on may21st so a bit surprising in light of that he played against chile. Guess he was in the stand by list.

When was the last time we had a current player score an international goal for a senior team?

He's a player that is still in development that we need to continue to work on. Always remember one of those Northern commentators that GP hire when City have an away match there saying that who saw him for the first time without any ingrained prejudice about him and it's proving to be true.

Seeing as he's 29 I hope his development doesn't take too much longer.

29 is positively youthful in The Cheeseassic era. :)

Don't be silly, he's a few years off what Tisdale's thinks are the peak years - between 34 and 40
