You are making a very valid argument that the player who took the 2nd half kick -off should be awarded the goal.If it was a Crewer, the goal should therefore be declared an own goal. (I'm on telly, Wulan !).
As this thread hits double figures, I am still none the wiser who is the goal scorer. After yours and Spoonz clarification, do we know what player took the second half kick off and therefore the goal scorer? These are questions that need to be answered.

I think you've solved the problem, Spoonz. And of course you're right again : the ref gets the assist by blowing the whistle to start the 2nd half.

Having analysed the footage one final time, I've come to the conclusion it did come off Sir Stockleys head rather than the keepers fist.

*Looks around, are we on double figures yet*
That old chestnut about bats and visual impairment springs readily to mind ! (facepalm) ;)
