Clap clap from me, got a rare full weekend pass as the Missus and Madam are visiting friends in Kernow for the half term.

The chippy near the ground is nowhere near as good as Steeles or Ernie Becketts in The Market Place. Steeles is only a restaurant though but a visit there is a must IF you have the time. I'm looking forward to the game too, hopefully we've turned the corner with our win at Carlisle on Tuesday night after 6 defeats on the spin and hopefully we'll get a decent result at home to Port Vale on Saturday too.

Looking forward to meeting up with a few of you for a couple of pre-match pints.

I'm still trying to finish the haddock and chips that I was served in Steel's 18 months ago.

Yeah, Blundell Park Hotel is still open. Depends what time you make it here as a couple in Clee first might be an idea.

Going to be quite a special game for me as, all being well, I'll be joined at the match by one of my uni housemates, whom I haven't seen since our respective weddings in 2002.

This is now our next league game with our game at Mansfield being postponed as they have 3 players unavailable due to international duty!!

How come? Have they been selected for Derby County? (Or, more likely, Stafford Rangers??) ;)
Ryan Sweeney - Republic of Ireland U21 (On-loan from Stoke)
Krystian Pearce - Barbados
Omari Sterling-James - St.Kitts and Nevis.

You can bet your bottom dollar that if we'd lost our last 2 games rather than won both they wouldn't be postponing it.

We have on-loan England U20 international Elliot Embleton missing, who's been our best player recently so hopfully he'll get the winner in the re-arranged game. (If he's still here as his current loan is only until the 6th of Jan)

Mansfield also took the week off during the last international break. It didn't work for them as they lost their next league match. Ahem.

Seems like they've played on the rules a bit there - One of them has only played 47 minutes this season! It does look to me as if they're running scared now you've ended your losing run and have picked up some form

In today's paper Michael Jolly's saying it could actually be a blessing in disguise as we have 13 players either injured or carrying knocks for Saturday.
