I will miss the guy. Always played with passion and he wanted to be the main man in our strike force, maybe he tried too hard sometimes. In my view, the reason why he never scored many was that there was the lack of service and maybe the rotation of the strikers. I reckon he will do really well at Torquay.
My favorite moments of Lee P was his goal at Wembley and his celebration, although everytime he scored it meant so much to the lad...

Good luck Lee and Thanks.

I am gutted today. :'(

Favourite moment? The finish at Cambridge. Desperately short of form, he was presented with virtually an open goal. He proceeded to smack it against one post, and it went in off the other - almost broke the frame of the goal it was hit so hard!

I wish him well, yes even at Turkey, cos of course we only larf at them. He always did seem to put in a lot of effort but then suffered with the curse of modern day youth i.e. started throwing his toys about or letting his head go down when things didn't go his way.
The goals in the playoffs will be great memories, but a great shot at Grays two years ago when we had been played off the park made me think that maybe he was the real deal, unfortunately not.

Favourite Phillips moment: Final whistle after the 2nd leg semi-final of the FA Trophy Phillips missed a penalty in that match but he cried like he had lost us the world cup This just showed how much he cared.
That was mine too, strange that its a penalty miss but it was the reaction afterwards of the fans and LP that sticks in my mind more than any other. . Pity he wasnt prepared to show a bit more fighting spirit last season when things wer'nt going his way but he nearly always tried his best even though it often wasnt good enough.
Good luck next season Lee. (Have Torquay got a reserve team again then?)

Dreaming of League One!
Great header at Wembley - reminded me of what he could have been. Oh, and reading the WMN this morning. ;)
