57 minutes Seymour on for Brunt
How did Brunt look today? Anywhere near consideration for first team?

Big shift in the betting after the line-ups announced. Sunderland now favourites at 4/7. Could have got about 6/4 earlier today.
Al20k strikes again?? ;)

Absolutely immense result and outcome. Only one over age player (Brunt) who was off the pitch by the time we started scoring. Their over-age player Rodwell, has twice been transferred for £10m or more!

Reports please!

Fantastic result and very encouraging given that this was the most genuinely under 23 side we've fielded, with very little first team experience.
Well done to all concerned!

I would suggest that he is behind Simmo and Loft.

Loft looked like a good prospect. Took a while to get going and was out of puff at the final whistle but was able to win the ball in the air and hold it up.

Ben Seymour looks to have ability in abundance.

A really good game of football. I thought in the first 15/20 minutes they looked the better side but, once they realised we weren't going to roll over they dropped off a bit and we upped our game. Second half we dominated, especially our defence which was alert and very solid.

Was impressed with our keeper, Lewis Williams (though, second half, he didn't have a lot to do), also Alex Byrne. Ryan Loft has some nice touches, but is still a bit raw and Ben Seymour looks the business.
