It's L2, what else do you expect? People post this every season.
And I for one in my limited experience think this is a load of sloblock anyway, I've been impressed with the quality generally. Barnet, cast adrift with Chesterfield at the bottom, were excellent in both matches against us. Crawley were too (although they also stood to benefit from us being rubbish that night).

The stats above go to show this is a poor division and apart from Accrington’s current run, ours at start of the season and Luton‘s and Notts County’s in mid season, no team has shown any real consistency. We have by hook or by crook managed to stay in the reckoning simply because the performances of those around us have been nothing to write home about.

However in my view this can only go on for so long before others hit some form and if and when that happens we are going to have to play a darn sight better than we have been to stay in the mix. Anything can still happen, although the autos would seem increasingly unlikely but if we are to finish in the playoffs then we have to start putting the ball in the net regularly whilst at the same time hoping that others continue to stutter as they have been.
...No they don't. All those records are against other teams in the division. They could, at best, demonstrate that the standard was relatively even across the division (Or that there was a gulf betweencertain teams and others).

In order to show, using result statistics, that the division was poor relative to previous seasons, we'd need the results of this seasons teams against teams from previous seasons... which we won't get. So well just have to blather on instead, using our imperfect memories of halcyon days of yore, from which the notable moments are better retained, giving the illusion of decline.

An appropriate word to describe the 2017/18 L2 teams is “inconsistent”

League 2 on the whole is garbage - the standard of the games and the teams for the most part are poor a couple teams apart - we will probably end up losing 13-15 games in the league and will probably still finish top 7 - that just shows you how crap everyone else is for the most part because there is no way a team with 11 defeats from 35 games should be classed as a good side

Good sides don't lose 1 in 3

It is what it is though, so if you get promoted or reach the play offs it's still on merit when compared to your peers. Not sure the bottom half of division 1 is much better

Or perhaps it shows that everyone is of a similar standard.

If you're using the fact that we are 6th having lost 11 games out of 35 as your marker then all the leagues are garbage.
League 1 - Rotherham in 4th have lost 12 out of 36
Championship - Middlesbrough in 6th have lost 12 out of 37
Premiership - Chelsea in 5th have already lost 8 out of 30.

Not sure if people are trolling or just incapable of basic logic. Where is the league where all the teams win most of the time? The results between teams within the same league tell you nothing of the overall quality of the league.

It's a shame when a beautiful theory is blown out of the water by facts isn't it?
