Exmouth hit the post in last min. Should have just tapped in an open goal from rebound but ball got trapped under their No 14. City scraped it away. Exmouth played well and put in a good performance and were unlucky. Final is supposed to be on 30th April at Devon FA HQ Ground in Newton Abbot but City are playing Wigan in the U18st National Youth Alliance Cup so that will no doubt take president unless City play the 1st Team:D.

Been thinking it for awhile, put him on the bench, maybe a surprise factor to pick up some vital points in the run-in.

Is Seymour still on loan with Dorchester or has that ended now?

I have faith in Bowman but we need a 'fox in the box'. Although the old big man/little man combo up front seems completely out of fashion nowadays.

Seymour is with Dorchester to the end of the season. He's best left there for the experience he'll gain. Maybe next season we'll see him play a few first team games.

We are unable to recall Seymour owing to the type of loan apparently. He looked impressive today and I have every faith that he will be pushing hard for a first team place next season.

An enjoyable game. City were much the better team in the first half but didn't create much. Town started well in the second half and it was a very even game. Town went in front after a good spell and it really woke City up. We started to play with pace down both wings and two heavy challenges which brought yellows was the only way town could stop us. The second free kick was right in front of us and Jack Sparkes came across to take it. He had a go at the ref for the heavy tackles but the ref said in a very firm tone " they were both yellows and that was it, get on with it". Jack didn't look impressed but he didn't say anything. He then bent a lovely left footed free kick to the far post which was knocked back and we scored. All of sudden we seemed to be too quick for them and Ben Seymour scored a good goal from outside the area on the right. He hit it low across goal and in at the far post. The last few minutes turned a bit ugly and Town had a player sent off for an incident on the far side of the pitch in front of the dug outs which I couldn't see. It provoked a reaction from the City players what ever it was. Town then had an incredible chance to equalise but somehow we managed to scramble it away. It looked odds on that we were going to penalties. That was their last chance though and we were into the Final.

I had a clear view of the Tow red card. Will Dean got ahead of a Town player and proceeded to Shepherd it out for a throw. The Town player then lost his head and hacked down Dean. The player was already on a yellow and hot his marching orders via a second yellow.
