So pleased to see Wheels get that fantastic opportunist headed goal on Saturday. Brilliant in the air with a leap like Nijinski but seldom scores with his head, I think Watkins has scored more. He's getting into the box more often now, resulting in a lot more goals, hope he can become the complete striker and continue to notch.

As expected, Wheeler didn't win the PFA award.

He's been listed again this month for L2 PFA player of the month, not really a great month for him, but would be nice for him to get some recognition!

When the run of consecutive games/goals is finally over, will there be an award presentation for the achievement ?

There ought to be.
I was able to make an award to David this morning at the Cat and Fiddle training ground. The very nice award was funded by Exeweb.

The wording was :-

Presented to
DAVID WHEELER
to mark the Exeter City club record
of scoring in seven consecutive matches
from
31.12.2016 to 04.02.2017

Excellent. Good to see the money we raise used wisely. Thoroughly deserved award.
