Yes, utterly shambolic. A bit of fight today but still don't fancy our chances of setting Warwicks, who have a second string attack, many more than 200

Di Venuto on borrowed time, maybe they are saving themselves for the 20/20
I think Surrey are right back in this one having knocked over the last 6 Warwicks wickets for only 55. Another 100 runs could set Warwicks a challenge if conditions stay bowler friendly.

Meanwhile a poor day for the Cidermen in the Chelmsford bear pit. :(

They will now need to score the highest runs in an innings of the match batting last. Essex already 249 ahead with 4 wickets in hand. Match report says muggy conditions have made batting very difficult. Will the sun come out ?

Last 4 wickets went for 20 runs, so that's something. Need to more than double the first innings total to get the win though, so I'm not very optimistic at all.

Cidermen's bowlers doing their bit this morning with Essex 183 all out, with Gregory and Groenewald picking up another pair of wickets each. So the target is 269 to win. Can the batsmen rise to the occasion in the very difficult conditions and preserve their undefeated record, as they reach the halfway mark of the season ?

Not the start that Somerset wanted with Abell going 2nd ball for a duck !!!! Followed swiftly by Azhar in the third over ! 8-2 after just 16 balls ! :(

Could be an embarrassing scoreline, ball is still doing plenty. Tresco was in poor form, but Abell's done fairly little as an opener to justify keeping him out of the side right now.

Hildreth out on the final ball before lunch, leaving Somerset on 64-4 after 19 overs. Just the 205 more runs needed for victory then ! :(

Meanwhile in the World Cup, the Aussies are 215-4 after 40 overs, with Smith recently arrived at the crease. England could be chasing a big total to keep their hopes alive.

Smith out to leave the Aussies on 250-6 with 26 balls remaining. England's bowlers doing a good job at restricting the scoring rate.
