Extract from the guidlines:

Txt spk: most users find text message abbreviations very irritating. Please avoid them where possible!

As Right Wing correctly points out the English language as a form of communication has been developing for many hundreds of years, it is still developing, get over it.

I realise that there is little enough of any interest on Exeweb nowadays, and what there is gets locked, or moved, or censored by the Nazis, but if you really can't stand Txt spk then ignore it.

Actually ******** and rightwing are totally correct. Fascinating fact 'Southpaw' and 'Cack handed' are words that used to simply mean being left handed, the difference was simply where you lived was how you said it. the term 'Pikey' is a Southern word to describe a traveller although these days it is more another way of describing a chav,a 'ned' or a townie depending on where you live in the U.K.

I think using Text Speak should only appears in text messages!
I'm 14 and I barely use text speak for anything on the computer!
