I'm not a fan personally but i wouldn't want to see someone banned for using textspeak.

A gentle reminder that nobody can understand them should do the trick.

What we need to do is to constantly victimise them until they stop bloody doing it.

The English lanquage is the finest on the planet, having been refined over centuries with suitable additions from many other languages. I just hate to see it now being debased. It is bad enough having to put up with all the grammatical errors on here, the use of "of" instead of "have," despite being pointed out on numerous occasions, (Credy?) annoys me intensely.

Don't get me going on textspeak.........it just shows how low our current educational standards have sunk.

I agree with the above, on another forum I look at if people use text speak they get abuse and the **** ripped out of them until they either a) leave the site or b) start typing properly.

Perhaps we should start a vigilante campaign against them?

It's just sheer laziness. I despair for the future.

I'm getting to the stage where I do not want to log on to Exeweb just to view unintelligible cr*p like this.
