Beware a Tory bearing gifts.

You have been warned.

Having already been booked in for my flu jab this week just received a text from my local surgery that I'm also entitled to a covid jab at the same time "if I want it".

Course I effing want it. Much as it might upset Jigzy and his elk in the tin-foil-helmet brigade, if this ultra-parsimonious joke of a (mis) government are handing them out for free, I'm taking what I still can from them. (y)
As I always said - if I was as old as you, I'd be at the front of the queue. But thankfully, I'm not.

As long as we are not buried side by side I'm in.

I could not bear the thought of lying next to a bleddy socialist and powerless to move for the next 1,000 years :)
Nah.
When the comes I think I want to be "buried at sea".
Really put Jigz, Tavz and the rest of the blue rinsed brigade to the test.
If they can manage to dance on my grave they'll have finally proved their point.

Don't you mean
Beware the horn of a Johnson, the heels of the Truss and the smirk of a Sunak?

As I always said - if I could also get it for free, I'd be at the front of the queue. But sadly, I'm not.
Edited for actuals.

What's the effing point of wearing a mask if you wear it under your nose? 😡

Corrected for factuals.

Masks are only worthwhile if you wear a new and proper graded one (N95) each time and properly (fully covering nose and mouth).

I would proffer that at the height of the pandemic practically no-one did this. And even if they did, fully graded masks can have unintended consequences (as experienced by my wife):

Three people in our office had had covid in the past few weeks , 2 were off for at least 1 week and looked and felt ghastly. The other (the eldest) had very mild symptons . All were healthy aged 30-50. we reckon the 2 staff who were very rough had the new variant.

Completely anecdotal I know but the new variant might be quite nasty to certain people .

I am not calling for any restrictions but mindful that Covid is back & never went away - be careful out there folks

Covid has always been a bit nasty if you were unlucky, the important part is that we know more about it now and there’s no need to react in the way we did in 2020.
I had COVID last autumn and I’ve had way worse bouts of seasonal flu.

This 👆 If the media and such like wants to hysterically whipped up and frighten people again i think they're wrong because we know much more than we did in 2020. Protect the vunerable and let the rest of of us get on with our lives.
