Any EFL fine has to be paid. Money spent on a fine is money not available to spend elsewhere.

Simple Answer

That's where the tunnel is.
But not where half the players were. Most of them were celebrating near the centre circle at the time.

Hundreds of City fans went straight to the away end, quite literally running past the players, with the intention of goading, abusing and intimidating Lincoln fans (and in some cases staff). Things were thrown into the away end. Why did hundreds of City fans want to celebrate getting to Wembley by swearing and abusing Lincoln fans? The players were nowhere near.

I don't know what happened with the kit man so won't offer an opinion but I did see Jordan Moore-Taylor escort him down the tunnel and look after him when he should have been celebrating with his team mates.

Pitch invasions are great and exactly what you would expect, rightly or wrongly, after getting to Wembley. The behaviour of a significant minority of City fans was pathetic. Rivalry is fun but I will never understand why a grown man or woman, and there were plenty of both, think the most enjoyable way of celebrating is abusing and trying to intimidate supporters of the other team.

Well to be perdantic he had a right to be within the technical area, but he did not have the right to allegedly assault a young fan.
You'd allow him the right to get to the dressing rooms also?

I agree with elginCity

Will these people invade the pitch at Wembley through a similar overwhelming wave of sheer joy if Exeter won the final?

No. Because they know there would be actual and real consequences for them if they did so.

At least show some consistency and do the same at Wembley. Then i might believe last nights effort was one borne out of joy and not the fact that there weren't enough stewards or police around to stop them being their real motivation.

Oh and next time, you celebrate with both arms. Not with one arm in the air and the other holding a mobile phone. Some of the scenes i've witnessed at these play off games afterwards with fans jumping up and down whilst simultaneously recording everything has been super cringeworthy. Modern times i guess. Embarrassing though nonetheless.

This is the more frustrating part for me. A few minutes of fun, and we lose out on a player for next season as we're paying a fine instead.

How did him allegedly tripping up a young city fan aid his journey to the dressing rooms?

Yes, afraid so. Another example, the Lincoln fans standing at the front and refusing to go to their seats were trying to goad the stewards to react to their pushing and shoving, while recording it on their phones. Then when they didnt react I saw one just grin and walk away. A couple were ejected but it calmed down eventually.

Have you been to Wembley?

You do know that it is actually impossible to get onto the pitch from the stands?
