The hand Gary inherited with Archie and Josh leaving regardless and Kite and Hartridge having turned down contracts before Gary even started wasn't an indication of someone who didn't want to continue with our academy. There were many who didn't want Caldwell as manager and were vocal in using anything as a stick to beat him with regardless of whether he was to blame imo
Well, you can argue all day long about it, but I think it's a good starting point to assume people are coming at it in good faith, whether they're right or wrong. Wasn't as if people were really struggling to find sticks to beat Caldwell with, at the time.
