A player that between the 20/21 & 21/22 seasons had 32 goals in 89 league two games from an Attacking Midfield/Second Striker role, great technicals. Had a couple of difficult seasons since but we've got history of turning fortunes around.

Exeweb: hell yeah! Worth a shot!

His name is Matt Jay

Exeweb: wtf, we've moved on.

Heard from an often reliable sauce that there could be something in this…

There could be, but there isn't. It's all bullsh!t. It simply isn't happening and only a proper mong buys into this nonsense.

Don’t shoot the messenger…I’ve been told it’s on, like donkey Kong. Incidentally not sure we should be using the word mong these days chap

I guess if it works for us as cheap cover for a year it might be ok - I felt he was really lightweight last season which made him feel a bit lost in league 1. But if it means we have more money for more important areas…..

What does mong mean in slang?
a stupid or foolish person

mong2. / (mɒŋ) / noun. British slang a stupid or foolish person.

Seems okay to me.

Dunno, just Googled it and this is what came up.

Anyway. I apologise if using the word mong has offended anyone.

I’d say it’s not a position we need cover in however cheap it may be, especially if we are holding out hope for Harris again. Agree with the last part, the money should be spent elsewhere as we already have 3/4 players capable of playing that role.

If we overload on number 10s and don’t sign a striker again I might actually combust. Surely lessons have been learnt…

We can only make offers. We can't compel players to come down here.
