Royce was a decent keeper for QPR in the Championship and I can't imagine the Gills would want to keep him if he is as pants as some here are sugesting but I dont understand why we would want him, maybe to raise the average age of our squad?

Unlike most on here, I do think that Royce is a decent goalkeeper and not the muppet that some seem to believe. Not as good as Jones but he is still decent.

I really can't see us signing him unless there are plans for Jones to leave. Royce is good enough to have a starting place in a lot of teams in the lower leagues so I can't see him coming here to play 2nd string. If we do get Royce then I'll be more than a little worried that Jones may be moving on.
