I'll refrain from naming and shaming those people on this thread who just 6-7 months ago were practically calling for his head! ;)
....urge to stop biting tongue so difficult, must resist....

Congrats Tis. It's surely only a matter of time before clubs come hunting for him but my gut feeling tells me he'd only move on if the job offer was absolutely right. I think he'd be looking for a club who wanted to follow his model at Exeter of concentrating on youth and inward development/promotion than going transfer-crazy. Most clubs want instant success and I don't think he'd go somewhere like that...

However, it *is* surely likely he'll go sometime in the future and I hope the senior players are taking notes because it would be great to see some management progression inwardly to continue the clubs development. :)

Regarding the successor for Tis when he goes onwards and upwards I think he is clever enough to stay for a year or two, whilst the club is going forward every day of the year.I don't think he will take the first big offer, and will wait till the big boys are drooling at the mouth.I always thought Dolan and Inglethorpe went too early, and i am sure tis won't make that mistake.
I would have no worries if tis went, as Perryman,Tagg etc have made three good choices, and i see no reason why they won't make a fourth. That person may very well be at the club already, articulate, young, and not a bad player in his own right.

No Adey Boothroyd in there.

As Oneday said the gap from worst to best manager is a couple of good results.

I think he only said that to try and convince himself mate.

Every manager should have a kind of career plan, and there is a danger of hitting the top too early in your career. Do you think we will see Aidy in the Prem as a manager again?

It wasn't too long ago that Steve Cotts was linked with every job.

'Once at Exeter, the 35-year-old guided the Grecians to the Conference play-off final in 2007 only to lose against Morecambe on penalties.'
That's the 1st I've heard? lol

A cautionary tale of reading the whole thread before posting, so as to avoid repetition.... ;)

PT has done well, of that there should be no doubt. However, he is still a work in progress for me and will be until he is able to show that he can use the range of options open to a manager to improve a team (loan and transfer markets). Not a popular opinion I'm sure but mine nevertheless.

Valid discussion points. How high could you see him managing, should he realise his potential?
