Might it be worth considering putting out more or less the same line up against Gillingham in the FAC?
Nothing to lose and, remember, last season's young 'uns didn't seem to perform too shabbily against reasonably full strength L1 sides in the latter stages of the Tinpot then.

Backing Gary Caldwell, thanks Matt and good luck.
So is that 30k income from the trophy this season on top of the 20k we get for being in it? Hopefully so as any extra income likely to be vital in the current climate.

we will play next one of

Portsmouth
Gillingham
Northampton
Norwich U23
Peterborough
Wimbledon
Walsall
Forest Green (if it’s possible to play the other side from your group again)

Wouldnt agree with playing a similar side in the fa cup. Agree our youth are excellent and very unlucky not to get past Pompey last season, but the fa cup is still a competition to take seriously imo. Expect some rotation, and hope Ajose gets more game time, but we should be as strong as possible without risking players carrying an injury.

As much as I would love to see that, the quality of the opposition today was poor. That must be taken into consideration.

Gillingham would hammer that line up.

. . . but sadly way behind them in his effort !
Did you see what Jake Taylor had to say about Ajose in the Echo this week?

Essentially, he said the suggestion that he had an attitude problem was completely without foundation. He went on to say that Ajose worked as hard as anyone in training and made a point of helping out the youngsters.

WBA under 21's are basically a kids team more interested in playing possession based football than scoring a goal or keeping a clean sheet, they couldn't care less about the result.

Imagine someone like Akinde playing against them, he'd scare the sheet out of them.

Sounding from their commentary our academy is in very safe hands.
