Re: You're top five favorite 'glovesmen' - there I've said it!

in order I'd go:

1. Kevin Miler
2. Arjan Van Heusden
3. Ben Hamer
4. Paul Jones
5. Christ this is difficult, Mike Barratt...

In all seriousness we haven't had five decent 'keepers in the time I've been watching City (since the late 80s). Miller was the best by a margin in his first spell but we never should have signed him back. Van Heusden was one of the best in the League and yet we replaced him with Miller who like Devine (from the way I saw it) only came for the money. Hamer was quality but not really here long enough to warrant a mention. Jones got a lot of unfair criticism but beyond him theres no-one, in fact if I had answered honestly I'd probably have had to put either Ashley Bayes or Kristsake in.

In all fairness Paul Jones is the most let down, didn't he get drunk before the Morcombe match in the Play-Off final?

As states above Arthur is fastly becoming our best keeper yet. It shows what pitch time can actually serve.

I'm amazed so many have gone for Hamer, I never rated the guy.

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
Len Bond..Great Keeper.Really overworked towards the end of the Godfrey era.
Richard Key..Class
John Baugh..Replaced Key(after he broke his ankle) in the last third of the 76-77 promotion season.A tough ask for a keeper who was studying at St Lukes & playing Western League football..
Kev Miller...Commanding & not lacking in confidence ever.(first spell)
James Bittner..Much overlooked, but he had a great season in that first year in the Conference.
