Exeter Announce Friendly With Brazilian Side Tupi

Exeter City have confirmed an additional friendly game in Brazil. They’ll be taking on Tupi FC in the city of Juiz de Fora in the state of Minas Gerais on Wednesday 23rd July. Kick off will be 7.30pm local time, which is 3.30pm British Summer Time.

The game comes 3 days after the historic centenary match against Fluminense at the Estádio Mário HelênioLaranjeiras Stadium.

Tupi was formed in 1912, but have not had much success during their existence. It took until 2011 for their first title, winning Serie D. They play at the Estádio Municipal Radialista Mário Helênio which has a capacity of 31,000 and was built in 1988. Tupi are in Série C of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Their league is currently on a break because of the World Cup.

The City of Juiz de Fora is about 180km north of Rio de Janeiro and 260km south of Belo Horizonte.juiz_de_forza_map
