Exeter’s Doug Bergqvist Joins Welling United on Loan

Exeter latest signing has joined newly Conference Premier side Welling United. Doug Bergqvist is expected to stay with Welling United for all of the season. This ensures that there is no cost to the club.

Bergqvist played against the Wings last season while on loan with Farnborough Town and managed to get himself sent off

No stranger to Park View Road, Bergqvist was previously sent-off against the Wings while on loan at Farnborough.

Wings Manager Jamie Day said:

We’ve known about Doug for a few years as he has been on loan at Farnborough before.

We knew that he was going to join Exeter and we’re delighted that they agreed to let him join us on loan immediately to get some games under his belt at Conference Premier level to help continue his development.

I’m pleased to get him on board.”
