Swans to Visit St James Park for a Friendly

Exeter City will be hosting Premier side Swansea City in a friendly on Sunday 21st July. Kick off will be at 3pm. Prices to follow.

This is the Grecians 2nd home pre-season friendly, the other opponents being QPR.

This will no doubt bring back memories of the 2002/03 season. The last day of the season Swansea City needed to win, and relegate Exeter City. They duly did so, beating Hull City 4-2. Since then, having avoided the drop in to non league football, they’ve gradually climbed the tables to reach the top level. They’ve now been in the top flight for 3 seasons, and won their first major trophy last season by beating Bradford City to win the league Cup.

Swansea City are expected to be playing a friendly on the Friday night (19th July) against Yeovil Town.
