It Must have been the Parish and District League with the Grecians of St Sidwell's taking on the Argyle side of the River XI, played on neutral Exe Island. Mike Blackstone must have the programme somewhere and can tell you the attendance.

I remember going to Newport back in the day. One side was closed due to the nettles being about 4ft high.
