What sort of tour did Chris Froome have, chaps? Talking of Ineos, I see that Ian Stannard has announced his retirement.
Got stronger as the race went on, he lost around 40 minutes in the first two days...it looked like he was using the Vuelta as a training ride to help build his fitness back up..seems very optimistic about the future with his new team next year though.

He got stronger as it went on. Was able to take some turns at the front for Carapaz in the third week. Long way off peak form though and will have it all to prove at Israel Start Up Nation next year.

Shame about Ian Stannard. Has been a Team Sky/Ineos stalwart and was great over the cobbles.
