I'm with SRJ here. On the face of it, this is a big balls-up and the likely outcome is us being disqualified. The only possible mitigation is that neither the ref nor the fourth official mentioned it at the time, which suggests that they may not have been up to speed with the rule change either.
Maybe I wasn't completely clear. If I made a one man protest and reduced my subs, the Trust would never know. But if a substantial portion of the membership were to alter their subs (which is what I meant), they would notice.
I've heard this argument before, but it's a nonsense, surely? If income drops dramatically month-on-month, someone must notice. And if they don't, well - why not?
