with one worrying geographical prospect. Joining League One will be:-

Rotherham Stockport Wrexham and Mansfield.... plus possibly Barrow Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday.

There's a fair few miles in those games (thank heavens we'll lose Carlisle and Fleetwood!)

Mansfield were outspending us in League Two, didn't matter then (as were Bradford, Swindon, Salford....)

Indeed...One of my favourite days out a couple of seasons ago was the midweeker to Barrow. The mad Blue Lamp pub in the afternoon Full of locals my age living it up on booze & laughter.

Only downside was missing out on a 2 for 1 deal at a Brewers Fare establishment earlier. citytilidie72 will remember that

Didn't we have to make three mid week trips to Barrow that season, with two late postponements ?

That was during the Covid season.
