Agreed - he is still working on his game, and looks an excellent prospect, but Swann has the experience. Not so sure we'll go with two specialist spinners, especially as Owais' bowling has been mentioned in dispatches.

Although he was only just starting to bowl spin when he turned Pro, and even then his best figures (which I saw him take at Brizzle) were bowling seam up!

My team (assuming we go with 6 bats and Fred at 7):

Cook
Strauss
Shah
KP
Bell
Colly
Fred
Ambrose (superior keeper)
Broad
Harmy
Monty

With Fred at 6 and 2 spinners:

Cook
Strauss
Shah
KP
Bell/Colly
Fred
Prior (superior batsman)
Broad
Swann
Harmy
Monty
If fit, I'm sure Sidebottom will play. Sadly your man Shah may not be in the
1st XI just yet! Pleased to see him in the squad and recognised as the next batter in though. Also, I think Bell's a shoe-in at No.3. When was the least time we played 2 spinners? Can't see in happening meself.

If Sideuknow plays (maybe ahead of Broad) we'd need to go with the first XI as above. Unless Prior has actually learned how to keep against left-arm bowling. I thought Sideuknow was going to lamp him in SL!

Loving the free flowing entertaining football at S
I would of gone with Bopara infront of Shah.

Oh and Prior to start behind the sticks.

harsh on Jimmy Anderson who was the leading wicket taker in recent test series between England V South Africa

Meanwhile Broad not exactly a strike bowler is he, he has done well in the one dayers but he has been pretty average bowling wise in Test matches

I wonder why Samit Patel wasn't picked decent bowler and a handy batsman, he would've provided a very good balance batting wise as well

Oops - forgot Anderson! Although I have a feeling he would take 0/100 in India, where the conditions are totally alien to his type of bowling.
