Yesterday showed how important it is to have Chieck available and I hope he will sign along with Harry Lee. However, will Chieck want to be a bit part player at his age as Gary deffo sees Will as his number 1 CH.
I love Diabate. We 100% need him whether it's first choice or cover. I guess it depends what he thinks he can get elsewhere and if there's been any interest in him.

Definitely deserves a contract though.

I thought the rumours were that Aimson had not settled in the area and was keen for a geographical move. Might his recent dramatic improvement in form be a bid to get a move? Either way we need to keep Chieck.

Not sure about this. As I understand it, Aimson's family, as well as his in-laws, are South West based [Dorset].

I would expect that we are in talks with a number of the current players regarding extending their contracts. I would assume that some of the players would have been waiting to see what division we would be in next year, and as we near closer to safety hopefully this will now help expedite the process for some.

Obviously the biggest factor (generally) will be the money we are able to offer and what they may get elsewhere, but hopefully we can retain the majority of the players GC wants for next season.

The only time I ever touched down in Christchurch, was met by my friend and as we were about to drive out of the car park we were stopped by the police, whilst a black "Roller" and associated escort vehicles were given priority. It contained Princess Anne - you travel all the way to the other side of the world, only to be held up by bleddy British Royalty ! "We were not amused" ! :(

When I worked I often visited people in their homes.
Once I had to drive out of town by Bridgwater Railway Station but was held up because Her Royal Majesty was apparently arriving and then being driven to an event at Wells Cathedral.
It was before the days of mobile phones so I couldn't contact the person I was going to see.
When I eventually got there and she opened the door I apologized for being late and immediately followed up with "I've been delayed by the Queen".
I don't suppose there's any answer to that!

Christchurch (Dorset) isn’t that far away but The A303 or A35 are a feckin’ nightmare tbf

It was quite impressive watching the police bikes and motorcade suddenly appear from nowhere to stop the traffic around Sandy Gate for Prince Charles and Camilla a few years ago. A very slick operation (unlike Kate’s…?🤔)

They were in a lovely maroon Rolls. No sitting in traffic for them
