Violent conduct apparently. That’s a 3-match ban.
Unexpected opportunity for Alex Hartridge, then.

One negative today was Pierce looking off the pace from the start and having to be subbed so hope it's nothing too serious. Luckily the rest of the team were able to replicate his warrior spirit without him being on the pitch to lead them.

There were 18 Grecian Lions at the park today - the normal 2 plus the 15 Grecians who played with their backs against the wall and just may have kept us up.
Beers on Jules tonight ?

Job done? Well battled and the better side. Alli needs to up his fitness though. Played 20 minutes and looked lazy.

Immense performance second half. Aimson MoM for me. Took a right battering, stood firm, played us out of bother with intelligence.

Sweeney seems to have the odd game like this. Is it about him putting a brave face on things, instead of telling the manager he's not up to it?

Great win that. Dug the deepest we have all year to all but secure our safety. Up the bast*rd city!!
It's now a 12 point gap to 21st which means a Cheltenham team who have won 9 times all season would need to win 4 of their last 9 games just to get to our current points tally. I think it's fair to say we're safe.

Unlikely, will just play Purrington there.

Might not be a bad thing.
Whatever the future holds for him it could at least be an unexpected opportunity to "put himself back in the shop window". Whether for a new contract at SJP or new pastures elsewhere.
If picked then at very least he'll have something to prove and play for
Win - win, I'd say.

Even if Sweeney, Jules and Harper are out for a bit we still have Rankine, Aimson, Cheick, Purrington and Niskanen available.
Plus alongside Hartridge, Fitzwater will presumably be challenging for a place as well.
