I'm lucky : I have no problem having a laugh at myself. Feel so sorry for the people who are so.uptight that they can't do that. Never mind, it takes all types to make the world go round .

Back to Rekeem Harper I enjoyed the interview and I like the cut of his jib.

meanwhile, as for Rekeem Harper...

mmm...we currently play a system without full backs...a back 3 plus wing backs. We signed two left backs a year ago and they started fewer than 10 league games between them (partly because neither were good enough there)

A specialist left back would be very useful to allow us to switch to 4 at the back. But ? will that happen whilst we have Key and Sparkes, who are both much better suited to wing back? Forwards first please!
Not exactly. We need our outside centre backs to play, or be able to play, at full back. They push forwards and support the wing backs when we attack. It's a lovely system. Without that, on either side, you see the Diabate result from last weekend. Not his fault, it's not his game, but it is vital to the way we play.

Is why I'm convinced George Friend will be back, sooner rather than later.

A good mate is a big Ipswich fan I asked him what he thought of Rekeem Quote "OK but not one of our better players" So we wait and see

It is interesting that he has made a couple player recommendations to/for us, the latest being Rekeem (also recommended by Kane Wilson and Kyle Taylor). With regards to him coming back would be nice but he is 35 next month and does seem to have some strong ties oop north https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tees-62480802

Just goes to show what we’re up against this season.
A club in our league can ‘do without’ a player who they paid half a million pounds for 12 months ago, because your mate (and presumably Ipswich themselves) don’t consider him one of their better players and are happy to let him play for a rival (if I can call us that).

Ipswich have brought a lot in, so I guess they are happy to lone out those now on the fringe. They also made drastic cuts in the academy, quite a few youngsters were looking for local clubs.

Very interesting, but I think what you're saying is that we need another LCB who is equipped to play LCB because he has the ball playing attributes of a full back rather than of a centre back. My post was in response to a suggestion that we urgently needed a specialist left back to play left back. So I think you're agreeing that we aren't looking for a specialist left back who can only play left back.

And back to Rekeem Harper...

Harper Collins in midfield ...I think this could be a story worth telling...
