I was at the cup game on Jan 3rd. Axminster lost 3-2 home to liskeard. The pitch was understandably quite heavy going especially down one side, hopefully will play a little bit better after a few weeks of better weather.
There is a 3G pitch at the secondary school in Axminster, city’s youth sides have used it a couple of times for matches before the renovations at the training ground.

I think all non league pitches are heavy and starting to cut up now with the heavy rain over Christmas.
Be a good test for the young lads, most of whom will be on loan on the same standard of pitches before long.
