The Spectator is now likening Johnson to "Saddam's increasingly absurd party spokesman, Muhammad 'Comical Ali' al-Sahhaf, going out each night on Iraqi television and insisting the American invasion was faltering".

The fact that Allegra Stratton is the Political Editor's wife is, of course, entirely coincidental. What larks!

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
It’s the beginning of the end for BJ.He will not be in No 10 past the Summer,I would imagine.

The Tory party are ruthless if they think their leader has become a liability.

His luck.He has been a winner we must not forget,is about to run out.

Johnson has lost any credibility he ever had,any most people have now realised that they have been lied to and coerced by people in power who don’t give a flying duck about them

Yep. He had a huge amount of political capital when he won the 2019 GE. He has squandered most of it and is too intellectually lazy to change his ways. Cannot see him leading the Tories into the next GE

The quickly arranged national covid updated seems to have been arranged with indecent haste after the revelations in the past 24 hours.
Its been reported that only 3 members of the Cabinet supported a move to that level only a couple of days ago.

The graphs shown at the briefing were flat on hospitalisations & deaths. The scare graph of course were the new O strain of Covid, which the two esteemed SAGE members both said they did not know if it was more deadly, just more transmissible.
No way would BJ have signed off on plan B before the recent embarrassments.
A handy distraction ?
Nail on head.

Is there any will in a spineless, untalented Cabinet to move against him ?

Just watched that video. Utterly cringeworthy and even disgusting.

Could not care less about her resignation speech. Awful, appalling woman.

Amidst all the other stuff this week, I see Harriet Harperson is standing down at the next GE.

Which video? The one where she has a pop at that single mum?
