If you want a bit of chill out jazz, exewebs very own weather forecaster broadcasts a excellent show on a Tuesday afternoon(a good way of de-stressing 😎)
Phonic FM transmits to the Exeter area & is available on the www.There are a few great shows on it.
National broadcasting or local set up are all the same to me if the content is interesting.
Does “Sketch” still DJ around Exeter and on the local radio?

A look at the Radio One DJs from this day in 1983.

Who remembers Simon Bates segment Our Tune, guaranteed to make you sad or take the pi55.

Some good presenters listed there. The only one I did/do not like is Steve Wright.

Mike Smith & John Peel, polar opposites in their styles were what made Radio 1 great in those days. Both sadly passed away before their time.

The days when Radio One was piped through most factories shop floors, Our Tune, Bit like Popmaster on Radio Two today, People downed tools to listen, I stopped listening to Radio One when they got rid of Mark and Lard, Knew I was getting too old to listen by then, Just not my taste anymore and rightly so.
