Here and there
"We are totally satisfied that the police and our stewards carried out a highly efficient operation under difficult circumstances."

Rubbish. Generally speaking the police and stewards did all that they could in difficult circumstances but, seemingly, without a clear plan of action. That, however, comes from the top, not the folks on the ground.

I still totally fail to understand why the alledgedly pre-planned intention to hold the City fans inside the ground for at least 15 minutes whilst they apprehended and/or dispersed the problem element was never implimented. With proper thought Argyle could have kept the refreshment kiosks in the away end open for 15/30 mins at the end of the game and City fans could have chatted, mingled and relaxed before heading out into a relatively safe environment. Hardly rocket science....

"They are happy to report that he suffered no more than mild concussion and severe brusing. " ....Well that makes it all right then!

They can release whatever bullsh*t statement they want, no ones gonna come out and say "actually we f*cked up last night." What I do hope is that outside of covering their asses with a press statement they realise that last night was a massive failure of crowd control and come December it needs to be better.

It would have been better to have come out and apologised for the behaviour of the minority of their fans, promising that a full investigation is performed and that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure that there is not a repeat on Dec 11th.

Not this; everything in the garden is rosy, cover up, BULL!

The usual rubbish that officialdome - police, authorities, Argyle etc - are not to blame. The proverbial 'whitewash', and the BBC upholds it!!

The county is ours.
Haha! I remember a similar statement from ECFC after the Leeds game denying any fault at all, only for a report to lay some blame at their feet, before eventually saying sorry, we can hardly take the moral high ground here, no matter how accurate or inaccurate the statement is.

as much as I don't like them, surely the fact it's not the football club's fault-

1- these people turned up at the ground

but more importantly

2- the fact the Police got it completely WRONG and did not have sufficient enough resources to deal with the situation

The football club at the ned of the day do not decide on how many police will be at the game, that's down to nit wits like that plonker on the radio earlier.
