Rory McArdle Leaves Exeter and Joins Harrogate

Exeter City’s 34-year-old defender Rory McArdle has left Exeter City and joined League two club Harrogate Town.

Matt Taylor said of the move:-

Rory phoned me a couple of weeks ago and just said that his family had struggled to settle down here. When the opportunity came to him to go back up North, we had to be respectful of that.

I’ve got a lot of time for Rory and he was fantastic for us last season, both on and off the pitch, and he isn’t someone we wanted to lose. But, we can understand it and we respect it.
