Wayne Carlisle Joins Tully at Truro

Former Exeter City winger Wayne Carlisle has joined Steve Tully at Truro City as his Assistant Manager/Coach.

Carlisle played 73 times for Exeter City scoring 13 goals from the wings. He’ll probably be remembered by the St James Park faithful for his performances in the 2 play off semi-final games against Torquay United. Scoring in both and setting up an assist for Richard Logan at Plainmoor. At that season end, he joined Devon rivals Torquay United.

The 34 year old from Lisburn in Northern Ireland has been involved with Truro City before, but only played 3 games before ending his association with the Club. Carlisle has been involved as Director of Football at Ivybridge Community College.

Carlisle will also join up with former City striker Ben Watson (who also scored in that Plainmoor semi-final), plus Arran Pugh is a coach within the academy set up.

Steve Tully’s first game in charge didn’t quite go as he wanted. Unable to play due to injury he saw his side lose to Poole Town 1-0. Truro remain in 19th place.
