FA Cup 2013/14: Bideford Devon’s Sole Club in the 2nd Qualifying Round

The next round of the FA Cup is upon us. We’re now at the 2nd qualifying round stage with 160 clubs in action this weekend (28th September).

Devon’s only representatives are away to Yate Town. Yate play in the Calor Division One South & West and are sitting mid-table. Yate Town beat Chippenham Town, who are at the same level as Bideford, in the previous round. A tough game for Biddy, but they should progress. Yate Town are near Bristol if any one fancies popping along (post code BS37 7LE).

The dream tie of Guernsey at home on the island has been scuppered by their opponents Dover Athletic. The game clashed with a rugby game, that couldn’t be moved, and Dover said no to any other arrangements. The game will now be played at the Sussex FA HQ in Lancing.

£4500 is reward for each club for progressing to the next round.

The draw for the 3rd qualifying round will be made at Wembley on Monday morning (30th September).
